Music & Artistic Director Nir Kabaretti Kicks Off the Upcoming Season with Live Interviews & Performances, Complimentary Champagne, and Special Ticket Offers

The entire community is invited to enjoy a festive FREE Season Preview event on Thursday, September 26, from 5:00 – 6:15 pm at The Lobero Theatre. The celebration kicks off with a welcome reception on the promenade at 4:30 pm, followed by an engaging and insightful program of music and conversation inside at 5:00 pm.

This eagerly awaited celebration offers the community the perfect opportunity to “sample” the upcoming season and hear directly from Music & Artistic Director Nir Kabaretti as he shares his inspirations for The Symphony’s 72nd season lineup. The program also features guest artist interviews and live musical performances by Amy Tatum, Principal Flute, and Natasha Kislenko, Principal Keyboard.

“We are elated to bring our Santa Barbara community a season filled with rich and culturally expansive experiences. Beloved masterworks by Mozart, Brahms, Dvořák, and Tchaikovsky are featured along with incredible guest artists like Spanish guitar virtuoso Pablo Sáinz-Villegas and the incomparable Gil Shaham as well as our own talented musicians,” said Nir Kabaretti, Music and Artistic Director of the Santa Barbara Symphony. ”We’re excited to be sharing with the community wonderful new pieces by leading composers of our time, including an homage to Santa Barbara’s own, the late Emma Lou Diemer.

“This season is so abundant with only-in-Santa Barbara offerings that we’ve expanded our traditional schedule! On the January and May concert weekends, the community will hear different programs on the Saturday night and Sunday matinee concerts for full weekends of music with The Symphony,” added Kathryn R. Martin, Symphony President & CEO. “Collaborations, artist residencies, and Music Education programs all continue to provide opportunities for connection and engagement.”

The Symphony’s Season Preview event is free to attend. Due to the popularity of this event, reservations are encouraged, as each entrant will be entered into a drawing for a pair of complimentary 4-series season subscriptions. Attendees may register here: bit.ly/SymphonySeasonPreview
